Local Agenda 21 – Portal on Sustainable Development Territorial Approaches

Welcome to the Portal on Sustainable Development Territorial Approaches! The current Portal corresponds to a collective, popularized, multimedia, and evolutional work.

On one hand, its objective is to accompany territorial and other communities in the implementation of their sustainable development territorial approach on the neighbourhood, borough, town, community grouping, micro-regional, regional, or indeed organizational scale.

On the other hand, it can be useful to better understand and act upon local and international issues pertaining to sustainable development.

By grouping together existing territorial practices both in Quebec and elsewhere in the world within a Gallery of Experiences, it provides inspiring references to leaders and citizens.

More than 100 popularized texts and ongoing territorial experiences are accessible, and others are regularly added the Portal’s database thanks to the cooperation of authors, economic players, and partners. Decision-makers, development officers, professionals, community leaders, students, and citizens regularly consult the Portal.

Finally, a multimedia library takes inventory of several documentstexts, declarations, videos, and other websites about various subjects related to sustainable development and the planning of a territorial approach along these lines.

Do you want to be part of the experiences presented on the Portal? Contact us by using the "Text or Document to Propose" tab at the bottom of the page.

We are proud to have been online for over 8 years now and to contribute to the sustainable development of territorial communities!
